This week's assignment was a focus on using slow shutter speed techniques through panning, motion blur and motion abstracts and light painting. Panning is achieved by following a moving object with the camera while keeping the camera still. Motion blur and abstracts are achieved by setting the camera to a slower shutter speed and moving the camera to make the subject look blurred. Light painting is achieved by using a light; usually a flash light and "painting" and image with it. I found that it took a lot of experimenting and patience to get the exact results that I wanted. Overall, I think that light painting was the most enjoyable and panning was the most difficult and most frustrating.

I really liked how you mirrored some of your images because they created an illusion while added lots of color in you photos. I also really enjoyed your light paintings because they are super colorful and inventive. Great job!
ReplyDeleteI really like your series. I think your editing job is really strong and gives your images a more interesting look. Great work!
ReplyDeleteYour second panning photo and second light painting are two of you best photos! You really captured and perfected the technique while adding your own style. No suggestions!
ReplyDeleteI like how you have many prominent colors in most of your photos because it gives your photos a great focus point. I really like your light painting photos because the way you edited them makes them look almost as if they are computer generated, escpecially the last one.
ReplyDeleteThese are great. I think they really capture each techinque very well. I especially love the second photo the best. Great job!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy how you were able to capture a sense of clarity within the blurriness.
