For my fall series, I chose to take levitation photos based off of inspiration by Natsumi Hayashi. For these photos, I wanted to focus my photos in school so I could get familiar with the whole process of taking these photos. I chose to both photograph other people and myself levitating. The very first photo I took I struggled with because it came out pixelated and I didn't get the lighting right. As I took more photos, I began to become more comfortable with what I wanted to get out of each photo and that led to them having better quality. I generally wanted to exhibit everyday actions in school.
I like your levitation photos, especially the last two, my suggestions are to have the model face the camera more and work more with levitation photos within our daily lives/daily routines.
ReplyDeleteI think these photos must have been very hard to make, as many of them probably were blurry at first, so good job on making these not blurry. Although many of your photos are of daily actions around Drew, some aren't, and I would suggest what Anna said, which would be too try to take more pictures of daily actions around Drew.
ReplyDeleteThese photos are all so cool! Every one of them really conveys the style of your photographer. In the future, you should work outside more and get different objects to interact with.
ReplyDeleteThese are so so cool are I'm really impressed with how amazing these photos turned out! Each photo is so unique but all tie together so well! these are amazing keep up the great work!
ReplyDeleteI think you did a great job on your first set, by trying to mimic the photography style of Natsumi Hayashi. I think this idea of levitation is very interesting and is a very cool project to emulate. I think your best photos are those in which the subject is doing something such as your third and seventh photo. Great Job!
ReplyDeleteThese are great! I know that it took such a long time to get these just right and I think they came out perfectly. You really re-created your photographers visual recipe really well. Good job!
ReplyDeleteI thought you did a great job of capturing the photos perfectly to make them appear as though they are levitating. I feel like timing is crucial for your series and you did a good job of that
