Depth Staging:
Depth staging is when there are two or more subjects in the photo however there is a distinct spacial difference between the subjects. Typically, the main subject is in the foreground of the photo while the others are in the background. For this technique, I chose to focus on people and observing the difference in space between them.
Leading Lines:
Leading lines are used to help draw a viewer through the photo to the main subject which is at the end of the line. Many of the photos are of sidewalks which I think make it easiest to demonstrate this technique.
Repetition:
Repetition is when something is being repeated throughout the photo and gets smaller and blurry as it continues. For this technique, I chose to photograph objects that had the same pattern and captured them in a way that demonstrated their depth.
i think you followed each rule to the tee. I loved your depth staging photos and think you did a really great job all around!
ReplyDeleteYour photos are all really good. I think that your repetition and leading lines were the best. I think that some of your depth staging is kind of hard to find what the two subjects are, but other than that you did nice!
ReplyDeleteSome of your depth staging photos are more of repetition photos. One of the subjects should be more in the foreground. Other than that, great job!
ReplyDeleteYour photos are really visually stimulating. The leading lines picture of the trail from the boat is my favorite because of the way you have contrasted the blue of the ocean with the white/grey of the surrounding image. My only critique is in the first two pictures of depth staging, you could have made the darks darker and the lights lighter so you could better see the staging.
ReplyDeleteI really like all your images. I think the photos you took addressed all the rules in a cool way. Your photos have great detail and are all so unique.
